Despite confessing during prosecution investigations, SH denied the charges before Judge Omar Karmastaji at the Dubai Juvenile Court. However, he was placed under judicial supervision.

According to records, at about 9am on March 24, SH took a Nissan Patrol that belonged to his friend for a drive near Al Shafii School in Al Safa area.

A Dubai police patrol of two officers, sergeant MS, 24, and corporal AA, 23, both Emiratis, said that they spotted the car driving recklessly and chased it.

The policemen signalled for him to pull over, but instead he sped away. The officers chased him down Al Wasl Road, and after hitting several cars, he drove against the flow of traffic and crashed into another car before continuing to flee, records show.

SH then took a service road, and when he returned to the main road he failed to check for traffic, hitting the police car and the vehicle in front of it. When the door finally opened, SH kicked AA away from the vehicle and threw him to the ground.
