A Pakistani worker killed a man after he bragged about having sex with his sister and posted naked pictures of her online, a court heard.

The accused stabbed the man in the chest during an altercation at a labour accommodation in Sharjah before attempting to flee the country.

Sharjah Criminal Court heard the two men were known to each other as they grew up in the same village in Pakistan.

A bitter fallout occurred when the victim posted explicit images of the defendant's sister online while living in the Emirates in 2017.

The defendant, who was still residing in Pakistan at the time, phoned the man to remonstrate with him over his actions.

“I got his mobile number and called him. When I confronted him about the pictures he admitted bluntly and even sent me the pictures to my Facebook account,” said the accused.

Some months later, he secured a job in Sharjah, which placed him in the same labour accommodation as the victim.

The dispute came to a violent end on the evening of September 6, 2018.

“I saw him {the deceased} several times around the accommodation but never spoke to him,” the defendant told prosecutors.

“But on the day of the incident, he was talking to two men next to me and bragging about how he got away with having sex with my sister and took pictures of her naked.”

The defendant pushed the man, who remained unrepentant and told him he would post the pictures again.

“I left him and headed to the accommodation, grabbed a knife from the kitchen then returned to where he was,” said the defendant

“I told him not to say that again then stabbed him in the chest, pulled the knife out and threw it next to him before I fled.”

Three hours later, the accused was arrested trying to board a plane to Pakistan from Dubai International Airport, while still wearing clothes stained with the victim's blood.

He admitted charges of premeditated murder and consuming alcohol at court.

The case was adjourned until February 28, to allow for the defendant's lawyer to present a waiver from the victim's family.
