DUBAI // A 28-year-old woman has accused a military retiree of sexual assault after he pinched her bottom in a Dubai carpark, a court heard this morning.
Briton MA told prosecutors she was walking to her car in the Wafi Mall parkade at around 3pm last December when she heard a car behind her trying to pass.
"The driver stretched his arm from inside the car and pinched my behind," said MA, adding that when she turned around she saw him driving away with his arm still stretched out.
Prosecutors said recordings from the mall surveillance cameras showed a man in a grey FJ Cruiser touching a woman.
The Emirati defendant AA, 39, has denied the charge and said no one else had driven his car. Prosecutors charged him with leering and sexual assault.
AA was not present in court today to enter a plea. A verdict is expected on March 19.
