The husband of the Dubai murder victim, Lorna Lim Varona, is hoping to take her body back to the Philippines soon.
Murdered Filipina's body could soon be repatriated from UAE
After waiting almost a month, the family of a Filipina businesswoman murdered in Dubai expects to obtain clearance this week from Sharjah authorities to take her body home.
Lorna Lim Varona, 51, was found in her car in Sharjah on August 31, nearly a week after being reported missing. Her husband, Pablo, 65, met prosecutors yesterday.
"They said we may get the clearance, medical report and other documents by Tuesday," he said.
"The forensic examination on her body took time." Authorities have yet to conclude their investigation, he added.
