DUBAI // An engineer stole a kiss from his co-worker after showing her how to work the air conditioning, a court heard today.
KL, 55, from India, grabbed his colleague and kissed her on the forehead before trying to kiss her lips, but she managed to push him away and run off, prosecutors told the Criminal Court.
The man approached the woman on January 11 this year when she was eating at the company's cafe and offered to show her how to work the air conditioning. He then took her to the electricity room and showed her how the system worked, before pouncing on her.
The woman ran away and informed a security guard who told the man's boss the next morning. The boss urged the woman to report the man to police.
During police investigations the man admitted kissing the woman, but said he did so with her consent. However, in court he denied kissing her.
His lawyer asked to cross examine the woman.
The next hearing was scheduled for April 8.
