DUBAI // A husband who allegedly solicited men to sleep with his wife appeared in court this morning.
The 48-year-old Syrian accountant, A H, appeared in Dubai Criminal Court alongside his 22-year-old Syrian wife, M M.
He was charged with solicitation, and aiding and abetting his wife in a crime; she was charged with prostitution. Both denied the charges against them.
Prosecutors presented as evidence a statement from M M admitting she had been working as a prostitute in Dubai since July 2011, and that her husband has been soliciting men of different nationalities for various amounts.
Court records show A H also confessed during questioning to enticing and aiding M M to prostitute herself, as well as soliciting men to sleep with her for money.
The court will issue its verdict on February 26.
