DUBAI // A labourer who raped an 11-year-old boy in a car park was today sentenced to ten years in prison.
MP, 33, from Nepal, was arrested after the boy's mother discovered pornographic images on her son's mobile phone and alerted police.
The boy said the labourer sent him the images shortly after the two met in the car park of the family's apartment building in Al Qusais in January.
The boy asked the labourer to clean his mother's car and the two exchanged phone numbers, after which the labourer sent the images. Three days later, the labourer asked to meet the boy once more.
When the two met, the labourer asked to have sex with the child, and when he refused he raped him.
The boy was initially too scared of the labourer to inform anyone of what happened, but later said that he had been raped a number of times. A forensics investigation found evidence the boy had been raped repeatedly.
The labourer will be deported after serving his jail term.
