DUBAI // A student has been cleared of threatening to kill a woman who spurned his marriage proposal.
The Criminal Court acquitted the Emirati MB, 23, who was accused of making the threats to a 19-year-old Emirati woman who he met on the internet in 2011.
The woman claimed he pretended to be a girl to get her phone number and then began pestering her over the phone, asking her to marry him and threatening to kill her and her sisters if she did not accept his proposal.
