Dubai hotel employee admits using guest's credit card
DUBAI // A hotel employee has admitted using a guest's credit card to buy a plane ticket for his friend.
"I'm sorry I did that," the 26-year-old Indian FK, who was responsible for reservations, told the Criminal Court.
According to court records the hotel guest, whose nationality and age were not stated, called his bank to inquire about a charge by Emirates airline for Dh2,090 on his credit card bill.
He was informed that he had purchased a ticket online, and noticed that the date coincided with his stay at the Kempinski Mall of the Emirates hotel.
He reported the matter to police, who tracked the name on the ticket and arrested the hotel employee.
A verdict is expected on October 15.
