DUBAI // A man who sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl had his six-month prison sentence upheld by the Appeals Court today.
The Iranian mechanic HN, 30, fondled the girl while she was visiting a herb shop in Naif on April 5 this year. He asked the mother to take a picture of him with her daughter and while the mother was busy with the camera he touched the girl.
When the mother and daughter left the shop the mother noticed the daughter was scared and confused and the daughter explained what had happened. The mother confronted the man, who apologised, and then reported him to police.
He will be deported after completing his prison term.
