DUBAI // A teenager who raped his friend in a drunken attack was jailed for 12 months today.
Emirati M?N, 19, admitted drinking a bottle of vodka at his home in Mirdif on March 22 before attacking the 16-year-old German.
They had been watching a film when the Emirati forced the boy into the bathroom and raped him at knifepoint.
The German walked home after the attack, but the next morning the Emirati turned up and threatened to harm him if he did not accompany him.
“I was scared of his threats so I went with him,” said the boy.
The Emirati took him to downtown Mirdif, where another friend warned the German to avoid the Emirati. The boy then called his mother and reported the attack.
At the Criminal Court, the Emirati confessed to drinking alcohol but denied rape. He was found guilty of both charges and sentenced to 10 months in prison for the rape and two months for drinking alcohol.
