DUBAI // A 26-year-old driver admitted to kissing a nine-year-old boy in front of a building's lift, but denied doing so out of lust, a court heard this morning.
The Indian SD is charged with sexual assault of a child and awaits a verdict from the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance on June 28.
Prosecutors said that about 2.30pm on May 15, SD followed the child inside the lift of his building, kissed him on his lips and touched his shoulders, thighs and buttocks.
The child, who was returning from school with his brother, rushed to their apartment to tell their mother about the incident, records show. The mother immediately informed her husband, who took his sons downstairs to identify SD, then called the police.
AR testified that SD had done the same thing to him about 10 days before this incident.
Prosecutors said SD admitted to the charges.
