DUBAI // A chauffeur who molested his employer's son more than 15 times in one month has been sentenced to a year in prison.
The Pakistani defendant, MH, 30, was found guilty by Dubai Criminal Court of taking advantage of the 7-year-old British boy while driving him to and from school.
Another employee in the family's home, PT, 32, from India, told the court she noticed the boy's behaviour change in May.
"He became reluctant to take showers and his mood was always bad," she said.
PT said she found out about the abuse while tickling the child to cheer him up. She said he became upset and told her to stop because the driver did the same to him "all the time".
PT reported the matter to police.
MH will be deported after completing his jail term.
