DUBAI // Two men were sentenced to prison this morning for killing a brothel customer last year.

The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance convicted the Pakistanis MN, 24, and MK, 30, with the premeditated murder of the Indian Mohammed Kotakal, and with stabbing and robbing his compatriot Ali Moosa at a brothel. MN was sentenced to 10 years and MK was sentenced to seven years.

The Pakistani KA, 28, was fined Dh1,000 for not reporting the crime, assault and knowing about the brothel, while the Indian AS was sentenced to a year in prison for operating a brothel and soliciting prostitution.

Mr Moosa told prosecutors that on July 14 last year, he went with Mr Kotakal to the brothel and chatted with the prostitutes. He said MN entered the apartment with MK and attacked them both with a knife.
