ABU DHABI // Three boys burgled a villa stealing jewellery, cash, watches, mobile phones and iPads, the Criminal Court heard today.

The two Emiratis and one Nigerian, who are all under 18, broke in shortly after 11pm, with two of them entering the building while the other kept watch.

After the burglary, they sold some of the items to electronic and mobile phone shops using the ID card of an Egyptian man they had stolen from his car.

Police found masks, knives and gloves at the homes of the boys as well as some of the stolen items. They said the boys all confessed under interrogation.

However in court, each of the boys denied burglary charges. Each of them blamed the other two.

A verdict is expected on January 21.
