ABU DHABI // Seven men who are suing the Interior Ministry for revoking their UAE citizenship will be told if their appeal was successful on November 12, the Federal Court announced yesterday.
The attorney general defended the decision to revoke their passports on grounds of national security, saying that because the men were naturalised citizens the ministry had the right to do so.
However, the men argued they were Emirati by law and could not be stripped of citizenship.
Their lawsuit was rejected by a lower court and they appealed the decision.
