ABU DHABI // A woman suing a hospital after suffering complications with her gastric band had her claims rejected by the Civil Court today.
The woman started suffering infections shortly after surgery to fit a second gastric band. She claimed these infections were the fault of the hospital where she had the second band fitted.
But the court found the hospital had not committed any medical error, ruling the infections were a result of having more than one band fitted.
