A young Emirati woman has won a competition to design the backdrop to the stage for the Beats on the Beach F1 concerts at the capital’s Corniche.

Muneera Al Zaabi, 24, won the national competition with her bold and vibrant entry.

The free three-day festival started on Thursday night with performances from Filipino artists Vina Morales and Gary V. It ends on Saturday night with British artist Labrinth and Sean Kingston taking to stage.
