Changes to events

The following events have been cancelled or postponed following the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The following events have been cancelled, postponed or altered due to the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Establishments that serve alcohol will continue operating as normal in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, according to hoteliers in both cities. Venues that have music will play only soft or classical tunes. Thursday, April 1, 2010 Cancelled Chinese pianist Yundi Li performing Chopin, at Emirates Palace, at 8pm. Photography competition, Al Diar Siji Hotel, in Fujairah, 10am to 1pm. Women's Sports Tournament, in Abu Dhabi. Postponed Colombian Musical Group, Cimarron concert, on Abu Dhabi Corniche. Going ahead Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge finish, around noon, Al Gharbia. Cricket - MCC v Durham. 2.30pm to 9.30pm, Sheikh Zayed Sports Stadium, Abu Dhabi. Zee Dubai Mega Mela, Dubai Media City. Runs until Saturday. Friday, April 2, 2010 Alteration Il Divo pop opera quartet, Emirates Palace West Park, 7.30pm to 10pm. Rescheduled for Saturday, same venue and time. Cancelled Barney meet and greet. Festival Square, Dubai Festival Centre, 2pm to 4pm. Going ahead Dubai International Dragon Boat Festival, Dubai Festival City. Sunday, April 4, 2010 Cancelled Shahinda Forum for Narrative Excellence. 7pm to 9pm, Kempinsky Hotel, Ajman. Postponed Football - Etisalat Cup final, Al Jazira v Ajman.
