Calendar Girls could raise curtain in Dubai

The stage show is based on exploits of a group of middle-aged Women's Institute members who disrobe for the camera to raise money for charity.

Reports that the British hit musical Calendar Girls, based on the award-winning film of the same name, may come to Dubai have raised questions about how a production in which most of the cast coyly disrobe could be staged. The humorous show tells the true story of 12 middle-aged women from a tiny village in the English county of North Yorkshire, who take off their clothes for a Women's Institute charity calendar to raise funds for leukaemia research after one of their husbands dies from the disease.
