The show must go on. Light Up 2018 — the record-breaking light show that plays across the Burj Khalifa —will be repeated five nights a week on the world’s tallest building until March 31.

Displayed across 109,252 square metres of the Burj Khalifa, the show broke Hong Kong's Guinness World Record for the largest light and sound show on a single structure.

Tens of thousands came to Downtown Dubai on New Year’s Eve to watch the light show, which is set to music performed by 80 UAE musicians.

The show starts at 8pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday and at 10pm on Thursday and Friday.

Last week, Emaar said the show would be repeated until January 6, but has since extended the display for three more months.
