Brits damaged woman’s Ferrari after threatening to kill her, Dubai court hears

The men have denied threatening the woman's life and damaging her Ferrari, but a guard testified that he saw them jumping on the hood of the woman's car.

DUABI // Two men denied threatening to kill a woman and damaging her Ferrari when she kept them out of her apartment, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

MA, 32 and PT, 33, both British, denied charges of issuing threats to kill and damaging properties. Their Pakistani accomplice, RA, 32, was not present in court to enter a plea.

The Russian woman, TSH, 28, told prosecutors that at nearly 11pm on November 21 last year, she responded to knocking on her door by looking through the peep hole, which one of the men covered up. She did not open the door.

“They started kicking and knocking violently on my door and asking while screaming about a man I know,” she said noting that she told the men she did not know where the man was, then called the security guard of her JBR building.

By the time the guard arrived, the men had already left. The guard saw them in the car park, jumping on the hood of the woman’s Ferrari and causing damage.

“I asked them why where they jumping on her car, but they did not answer me and left,” said the Bangladeshi guard, AA, 29.

TSH said she called the man they were asking for and he looked at surveillance footage, identifying two of the men who were damaging the car. He then called police.

The next hearing will be on November 10.
