The British Ambassador to the UAE is urging expatriates and tourists to dress appropriately to respect the country's culture.
Dominic Jermey made the plea in the March issue of the Ministry of Interior's 999 magazine, saying: "It is really important for expats and tourists to understand the norms of the society they are in."
The magazine's cover story examined the UAE's dress code and the issue of residents wearing inappropriate attire in public. Mr Jermey also encouraged parents to appropriately guide and monitor their children's online activity.
