SHARJAH // The body of a newborn baby was been found dumped in garbage bins in Sharjah.
Municipality garbage collectors found the child's body wrapped in clothes and left in bins in the Al Dhaid neighbourhood on Saturday at 11am, a police spokesman said.
The body was taken to the police forensic laboratory.
The spokesman said officers believed the baby had been born illegally and dumped by his parents.
In June last year, a new born baby boy suffered a fractured skull after he was thrown down a garbage chute at an apartment building in the emirate.
In 2010, police found the remains of a seven-month-old girl near the Sharjah Aquarium.
