A police investigation has been launched after the body of a man was found at sea in Ras Al Khaimah.
Police discovered the dead man, who was in his 50s and of Asian descent, after being called out to Ras Al Khaimah Khor at about 6.30pm on Monday.
Brigadier General Abdullah Munkhas, deputy director of operations at RAK Police, said the body is believed to have been in the water for almost a day before being recovered.
Medical examinations are being carried out to determine the time and cause of death of the man.
“We are doing our best to know the cause of death, and investigations are under way to identify it,” said Brig Gen Munkhas.
