An Emirati executive has been appointed to a nine-member committee to address what the UN has deemed a growing humanitarian finance crisis.
Badr Jafar, chief executive of Crescent Enterprises, a Sharjah company, will participate in the panel along with members such as Sweden’s foreign minister and the vice president of the European Commission.
The High-Level Panel on Humanitarian Financing was appointed by UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon.
