Audit institution told to draft anti-corruption law

President Sheikh Khalifa has ordered the State Audit Institution to draw up an anti-corruption draft law and apply the provisions of the UN Convention against Corruption, which the UAE ratified by federal decree in 2006.

"We are looking forward to all the stakeholders bringing their efforts together in order to ensure that public money is preserved and that the state's financial resources are geared towards the comprehensive development of the nation," said Dr Harib Al Amimi, the institution's chairman.
