Ajman Police are to activate their smart detection system to catch motorists with expired vehicle registration via their network of traffic cameras.

The detection system, which police call Ajman Dar Al Aman, will catch vehicles with expired registration and fines of Dh500 and four black points will be issued to the owners.

The vehicles will also be impounded for seven days.
