Ajman police arrest two men who shoplifted Dh60,000 worth of goods
The men confessed to stealing the items from two shops
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of stealing Dh60,000 worth of goods from two shops in Ajman.
“The two suspects, from Asian countries, were involved in a series of shop break-ins in Ajman,” said Maj Mohammed Yafour Al Ghafli, deputy director of Ajman Criminal Investigation Department.
“They managed to break into two shops and stole mobile phones and prepaid cards worth Dh 60,000,” said Maj Al Ghafli.
Police set up a squad to track down the suspects and arrested them in an Ajman industrial area. “The suspects smashed the doors of the stores. They told police they stole mobile phones and prepaid cards in addition to Dh3,500 in cash from another shop,” he said.
Police recovered all the stolen items, valued at Dh60,000. The suspects confessed to the crime.
"They have been referred to the public prosecution,” Maj. Al Ghafli said
