A 20-year-old Emirati was trapped in his vehicle after an accident that took place on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed road in Ajman.

Ajman civil defence teams managed to pull him out of the car using rescue and extracting tools to cut through the vehicle.

Lieutenant Saleh Al Suwaidi, the duty officer at Ajman police said that they received a report about the accident at 12.45am on Friday and national ambulance along with civil defence rescue team was immediately dispatched to the site

“The 20-year-old Emirati driver was trapped in his car after colliding with a heavy vehicle on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed road and suffered from moderate injuries,” said Lieutenant Al Suwaidi

“Civil defence team managed to extract him using rescue equipment and he was transferred to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed hospital for medical treatment.”

Further investigation is being carried out by Ajman police to identify the exact cause of the accident.
