Adnoc building in Abu Dhabi lights up to show solidarity over Covid-19 pandemic
Nine different languages delivered the message: Stay Safe, Stay Calm, Stay Home
The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) headquarters in Abu Dhabi has lit up to show solidarity over the coronavirus outbreak.
The skyscraper on the Corniche lit up on Friday with the message “Stay Safe, Stay Calm, Stay Home” in nine different languages, including Arabic, English, French, Italian and Mandarin.
Abu Dhabi’s landmarks lit up on Wednesday evening with a message for the capital – “Together We Are Good”.
The message, along with the number to call to help, was shared on the Galleria Mall on Al Maryah Island, the Andaz Capital Gate building and the Adnoc headquarters.
Efforts to respond to coronavirus are intensifying. On Thursday, a three-day disinfection programme to fight coronavirus begun across the UAE.
Traffic restrictions run daily from 8pm to 6am starting Thursday until Sunday morning.
Public transport, including taxis on specific routes to hospitals, were suspended from the operation.
Dubai has also closed its malls and halted all passenger flights.
