Two women have been ordered to pay Dh13,000 in damages after posting photos of another woman and defaming her on social networks.
The woman had been seeking Dh150,000 from the pair, claiming their actions had resulted in her losing her job.
But Abu Dhabi Civil Appeals Court said she had no proof of loss of livelihood, and awarded her Dh13,000 based on moral damages only.
The two women had previously been found guilty by the Criminal Court, where they were sentenced to one-month jail terms, suspended for three years, and fined Dh3,000.
