Abu Dhabi to see road closures over National Day weekend

Area around Sheikh Zayed Mosque and Abu Dhabi International Airport among those affected

A series of key roads will be closed in the coming days and over National Day weekend.

There will be a temporary road closure around Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque on Thursday, as the road connecting Sheikh Rashin bin Saeed Street and Al Khalaaj Al Arabi street shuts between 3pm to 6pm, the Department of

Transport tweeted.

In addition, the department said there will be a partial closure of the two slow lanes of inbound traffic from Shakhbout City to Khalifa City, as well as the total closure of the exit leading to Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The closure begins at 10pm on Wednesday and continues until Monday at 4am.
