Abu Dhabi police Air Wing unit carried out 346 operations, including 22 rescue missions, in the first quarter of 2018.
The flights included 126 police missions, 106 training flights, 22 air ambulance missions, and 92 other tasks.
Brigadier General Ibrahim Al Baloushi, director of the air wing department, said that Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing humanitarian and community services were focused on rescuing and providing first aid to injured and sick people and transfer them to hospitals within the response time.
“The Abu Dhabi Police helicopters are equipped with the latest medical equipment, along with highly professional medical staff, “said Brigadier General Al Baloushi.
Colonel Pilot Obaid Al Shemeli, deputy director of the Air Wing department, said they participated in several activities and launched many initiatives, including the Abu Dhabi Special Aviation Fair 2018 and the 'Future Pilot' initiative.
