Abu Dhabi officials archive 80% of governnment documents

The work is being carried out under a mandate from the President, Sheikh Khalifa, who has stressed the importance of keeping important documents for future generations.

Officials in Abu Dhabi have archived over 80 per cent of government and federal documents. The National Centre for Documentation and Research is undertaking a project to organise the official archives of the UAE.

The work is being carried out under a mandate from the President, Sheikh Khalifa, who has stressed the importance of keeping important documents for future generations, state news agency Wam said. The Centre has so far collected documents from Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.
