Abu Dhabi City Municipality has served 22 warnings for satellite dishes on rooftops and balconies that flout regulations intended to protect the city's appearance.
Those served were reminded they must have no more than four rooftop dishes to comply with legal requirements, and that dishes on walls or balconies are outlawed.
The municipality seeks to raise public awareness about satellite dishes, the eyesores they create across the city and how they obstruct building maintenance.
The banned practices fall under Law No 2 of 2012 and include installing more than four dishes on a rooftop, placing dishes on balconies of buildings of any kind, installing dishes on rooftop walls and garden walls, and hanging cables on building façades.
