Abandoned baby found at mosque

A baby girl has been found stashed in a box in front of a mosque in RAK. She was found by one of the recruits of al Jazeera al Hamra security station. He had gone to the mosque to perform al Asha prayer and found the girl at its door. Lt Col Faisal Salmeen, chief of the station, said one of his recruits saw the box and approached it to find an infant crying from cold and hunger. He took the seven-day-old abandoned girl to the station to report the incident. The baby was transferred to the hospital.
