DUBAI // The Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF) has been serving 400 iftar meals each day to labourers at Bilal Mosque and Al Aref Mosque during Ramadan.

A team from the foundation is coordinating the initiative in collaboration with restaurants close to labour camps in select areas in Dubai.

“Distributing iftar meals is one of our community outreach initiatives,” said Mr Tayeb Al Rais, Secretary General of Awqaf and AMAF.

“Ramadan is the perfect opportunity to express our appreciation to blue-collar workers for their significant efforts that make a vital contribution to the UAE’s development,” he added.

The initiative is part of national efforts undertaken in line with the UAE Year of Giving and reflecting the spirit of solidarity during the month of Ramadan.
