More than 200,000 residential and commercial units have so far been registered with the municipality's Tawtheeq system.
On Abu Dhabi Island "it's almost done", said Ali Al Hashmi, project manager for Tawtheeq. "Over 95 per cent of units were registered."
The municipality urged all property-management companies and landlords who have not registered to do so.
Major property-management companies and landlords have already registered, Mr Al Hashmi said.
The process takes only 10 minutes, he said.
