Businessman denies molesting his employee during a work trip.

DUBAI // A businessman molested his employee during a work trip, a court heard yesterday.

The worker, 20, was asleep in a hotel room when his boss, AA, 46, from Saudi Arabia, jumped into his bed, forced him on to his stomach and sexually assaulted him, prosecutors told the Criminal Court.

“I tried so hard to resist him but he is too big and heavy, I couldn’t push him off,” recalled the worker.

He said that his boss then took away his stained clothes, hid them in a bag and threw it out of the window in an effort to hide any evidence of the attack.

The boss told the worker that if he reported the attack to police he would in turn accuse him of theft.

The worker ignored the threat and went to Naif Police Station to report the attack – but found he had been followed by his boss. The boss told the police officers the worker had stolen Dh5,000.

But police didn’t believe the claim and visited the hotel where they found the bag and the worker’s clothes.

DNA traces on the clothes were matched to the boss.

Prosecutors said the attack took place on July 2 this year.

At the Dubai Criminal Court, the boss denied a charge of sexual assault.

A verdict is expected on September 29.
