DUBAI // A man followed a woman out of a lift in her apartment block and molested her, a court heard yesterday.

The woman, 21, was returning home from work when the man groped and tried to kiss her.

But the woman’s screams alerted her neighbours and the security guard, and the attacker was arrested.

Prosecutors told the Criminal Court the attack occurred on August 6 this year, about 3pm, as the woman went to her flat in Al Qusais.

In court, MA, 25, a sales representative from Egypt, denied a charge of molestation.

A verdict is expected on September 22.
