ABU DAHBI // A seven-month-old Emirati girl has died of suffocation and heat exhaustion after being left in a car by her family.

Police in Ruwais, in the Western Region, were alerted to the incident at 9.30pm on Tuesday night but the baby died at Ruwais Hospital on Thursday.

Colonel Ojeil Ali Abdullah Al Junaibi, director of Western Region Police said the recurrence of such incidents despite continuous warnings was deeply distressing.
