ABU DHABI // A new branch of the Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation has opened in Dibba, Fujairah to distribute subsidised groceries to Emiratis in the area.

The branch is equipped with 500 bags of rice, 1,500 bags of wheat, 250 10kg bags of Harees, 500 cartons of sunflower oil, 500 of corn oil, 250 10kg boxes of dates and bottled water.

The initiative, ordered by President Khalifa, will benefit around 1,500 families.

With the existing Masafi branch that serves around 500 families, the programme now benefits more than 30 per cent of Emirati families in the emirate.

To join, families must register their names and pay the required sum at the municipalities of Fujairah and Dibba.
