Star Wars Day: May the 4th be with you

Throughout the world, Star Wars enthusiasts dressed the part and indulged in food and drinks based on the movies

May 4 has become known to millions of Stars Wars fans as the official "Star Wars" Day.

Fans of the movie franchise mark the occasion, as May the fourth sounds like the famous line from the movie, "May the force be with you." It has been 41 years since the original movie premiered, and its fans celebrate across the galaxy.

Tickets for the upcoming film, "Solo: A Star Wars Story," are already on sale. The film is expected to debut May 25.

Throughout the world, enthusiasts dressed the part and indulged in food and drinks based on the movies.

The New York Yankees will give out Aaron Judge Jedi bobblehead dolls featuring the slugger holding a light sabre.
