His trims have been named “the world’s most expensive haircut”, and when the Italian stylist to the stars explains his “method”, it’s little hard to understand.
“You are unique, I speak to your hair and understand your hair,” Rossano Ferretti tells a group of media and bloggers gathered at the Grosvenor House eatery Ruya on Monday night. Then, he says, he gives an “invisible haircut”. Judging by the almost-pixie cut with bangs Ferretti gave a PR representative earlier in the day, the invisible “method” equals cute, natural and entirely suitable.
Ferretti is due to open his first salon in Dubai on Jumeirah Road beside the Four Seasons in mid-February, offering beauty, aesthetics, a VIP experience room and at-home service. Abu Dhabi will get a much-larger 800-square-metre space in Khalidiya in mid-April. Housed in a villa, the opening will bring at least 10 of Ferretti’s stylists, among a staff of about 50, to the capital, which sorely needs new salons. Ferretti already has salons in about 20 cities, including New York, Rome, Paris and London.
Promotional material says fans of Ferretti’s work include Lady Gaga, Kate Middleton and Salma Hayek.
