Wigan defenders Titus Bramble and Emmerson Boyce have committed their futures to the club by signing new contract extensions today. The pair are both now tied to the Latics until 2012 with new boss Roberto Martinez happy to sanction deals which were put in place at the end of last season. Martinez told the club's official website: "When you look at the performances of the two players over recent seasons it's a great reward from the club to offer them contract extensions. "They're real ambassadors for the club and great professionals who give you a good sense of continuity and competitiveness. "They offer stability, set themselves high standards and are excellent examples to follow. "Both are at a great moment in their careers and I think they're best years are still to come, so we're very lucky to have players of that calibre." Bramble had been linked with a move to Sunderland, now under the management former Wigan boss Steve Bruce, who got the best out of the 27-year-old after signing him from Newcastle in 2007. Boyce joined the Latics from Crystal Palace in 2006 and has gone on to make 88 appearances in the English Premier League.
Meanwhile Didier Zokora has passed his medical with Sevilla and will be presented tomorrow, the Primera Division club have confirmed. Zokora, who successfully completed his medical tests this morning, had been Sevilla's top summer target and they finally reached agreement with Tottenham to sign the Ivory Coast midfielder last week. The 28-year-old, who joins compatriots Arouna Kone and Ndri Romaric at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, has agreed a four-year deal and has a buyout clause of ?30 million (Dh154m) in his contract with Sevilla. Zokora's presentation will take place at midday local time (3pm UAE) tomorrow. * PA Sport
