Villa stall at 10-man Blackburn

Blackburn ended Aston Villa's winning streak, despite being reduced to 10 men midway through the second half.

Blackburn ended Aston Villa's winning streak, despite being reduced to 10 men midway through the second half. Villa, who had won their previous four league matches, took the lead after just three minutes when striker Gabriel Agbonlahor scored his fourth goal in as many games. Racing onto a flick from his strike partner John Carew, Agbonlahor slotted past the former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson. After 22 minutes Blackburn were back on level terms when a poor header by Richard Dunne fell for Christopher Samba who beat Brad Friedel. Blackburn midfielder Vince Grella was sent off for a second bookable offence, but they still managed to snatch the points when David Dunn converted a last-minute penalty following Dunne's handball. Man of the match: Brad Friedel (Aston Villa)
