The British School Al Khubairat from Abu Dhabi were crowned champions at the Under-13 World School Games on Saturday evening after three days of competition in athletics, football and swimming.
Sixteen schools from around the world took part, with teams from Europe, Asia and Africa travelling to Dubai to compete at Sports City and the Hamdan Sports Complex.
BSAK finished third in the athletics competition and second in both football and swimming to seal an overall team victory for the school.
St Catherine’s British School in Athens, Greece finished in second place, with Children International School (CIS) from Lagos, Nigeria completing the podium.
Only one point separated the top two in the overall standings in the closest of finishes.
