Tribunal to look at Ralepelle/Basson dope tests

Chiliboy Ralepelle and Bjorn Basson will face an anti-doping tribunal appointed to investigate their failed tests last month, the South African Rugby Union have confirmed.

Chiliboy Ralepelle and Bjorn Basson will face an anti-doping tribunal appointed to investigate their failed tests last month, the South African Rugby Union have confirmed.

The players tested positive for the prohibited stimulant methylhexaneamine after a match against Ireland. The players were suspended and sent back to South Africa. Their "B" samples confirmed the findings of the "A" sample and the tribunal will now look into the case.

Saints sign up pair to new deals

Brian Mujati, the prop, and Brett Sharman, the hooker, have both signed new contracts with Northampton Saints, England's Aviva Premiership leaders. Jim Mallinder, the Saints rugby director said: "Brian and Brett have shown they have what it takes to compete at the top end of the Premiership. They have both improved a lot as players over the past year."
