Fulham

Scotland international striker Ross McCormack has signed a four-year deal with Fulham from fellow Championship club Leeds, his new club confirmed on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old, whose deal is believed to worth around 11 million pounds (Dh69.2m), was the top scorer in the Championship last season after hitting 29 goals for Leeds.

“Fulham Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Ross McCormack from Leeds United for an undisclosed fee,” the club said in a statement.

“The Scotland international, last season’s top scorer in the Championship, has penned a four-year deal with the Whites, with the option of a further 12 months, potentially keeping him at the club until the summer of 2019.”

AS Monaco

Monaco’s Congolese international midfielder Delvin N’Dinga has been loaned for a second season to Greek champions Olympiakos, the Ligue 1 runners-up confirmed.

The 26-year-old, who has 23 caps for the Congo national side, played 19 matches for the Greek Superleague outfit last season, scoring one goal.

The former Auxerre player teams up again with ex-Monaco defender Eric Abidal, who has just signed for two years with the Greek club.

French winger Mathieu Dossevi, 26, also joins Olympiakos from Ligue 1 side Valenciennes, the Greek club confirmed.

Lyon

Lyon’s Guinean international striker Mohamed Yattara has extended his contract with the Ligue 1 outfit for two years until 2018, the French club confirmed on Tuesday.

Yattara, 20, arrived in Lyon in 2009 learning his trade with the under-17 team, but has spent most of the past three seasons on loan.

He was loaned during the second half of 2011/2012 to Ligue 2 side Arles-Avignon, playing 18 matches and scoring five goals, before being loaned again to Ligue 1 side Troyes for the 2012/2013 campaign.

Yattara was loaned again last season to Ligue 2 side Angers, scoring 11 goals.

Capped nine times for Guinea, Yattara has scored five goals for the national side.

Deportivo La Coruna

Promoted Deportivo La Coruna have sacked coach Fernando Vazquez just weeks before the La Liga season gets underway, the Spanish club confirmed on Tuesday.

Vazquez, 59, had expressed his dissatisfaction with the club’s recent transfer dealings after leading them back to the top flight in his first season in charge.

“The board of directors of Deportivo have decided to dispense with the services of Fernando Vazquez as first-team coach,” the Spanish club said in a statement.

“He was informed of the decision by the president of the club, Tino Fernandez, in a meeting which took place this morning.

“Despite the situation arising in recent days, Deportivo La Coruna wish to sincerely thank Fernando Vazquez for his work during difficult times for the team and his work done since his arrival at the club.

“Our efforts are now focused on the search for a new first-team coach so that pre-season can commence on 14th July.”

Deportivo La Coruna won promotion back to the La Liga this season after being relegated in 2013, and Vazquez renewed his contract last June until 2016.

The team from Galicia won their only Spanish title in 2000 and reached the 2004 Champions League semi-finals.

The new season gets underway on August 23.
